Amigo Brothers
My favorite quote in this story was " Arm in arm the two champions had already left the ring. I liked this quote because it told me that the two boys would stay friends no matter who won the match.

MTV Unplugged
Executives at TCA say MTV's music videos are offensive so the cable giants has banned MTv.The author is a fan of MTV even though he dosen't like all the videos on the station. The author dose not like the cooking shows that come on but he dosen't ask them to cancile it he just trun the channel.People should be able to say and watch what they want when they want. If you dislike somthing on TV you should just change the channel. You should change the channel cause everyone is not the same. Different people like different thing and you cant change what others like. There are many other channels you can watch. You don't have to look at what you don;t like

Make Lemonade
I read a few more pages today and what I read was...... Well I read how Jolly was getting fired from her job. Jolly came home sad that day. That day at work her boss had touched her sexually. And she didn't know what to do. A lady that she worked with told her there was no point in fighting it cause she cant win. Then as the two girls LaVaughn and Jolly talked Jolly asked LaVaughn about the money she had saved up. Okay so I don't know if LaVaughn should give Jolly the money she have been working hard for. It is for a good cause but I don't know. The part when Jolly say she don't know what to do about her boss she should fight it. She shouldn't just let it go. And her boss was wrong for what he did.

Make Lemonade
Okay so I read pages 10-40. And what happen was LaVaughn found a babysitting job. She watches two little kids after school everyday. Her mother said that she can keep the job only if her grades stay up. LaVaughn started the next day her mother said that. Two or three days after she started she started skipping lunch to go class/homework assignments done. And her friends noticed. I'm also in the babysitting business. But I mostly work weekends. I think that getting a job at this age is good but your job comes second in this case. I think she should try doing homework while babysitting. If she cant get it done just make sure she get home in time to get it done and get some sleep. The message here is school comes first.
Make Lemonade
Im reading Make Lemonade. I have read pages 1-10 so far. From what I have read I like the book. Its about this teenage girl. The girls name is LaVaughn. LaVaughn descides she wants to go to college at a very young age. So her mother is making her stick with it. LaVaughn is in high school now. She knows she dont have the money to pay for college. But thats not stopping her shes getting a job. Just like LaVaughn I want to go to college. And I know I dont have enough money for it. I think a good message so far is you should work hard for what you want.

Beyond Brave
To me this story shows that if you are determined that nothing can stop you.If you really want something in life there will be obstacle in your way but don't give up. If I was Bethany I wouldn't have reacted the same way as she did. Knowing myself I would have panicked. I would have been screaming and everything. It would not have went as smooth as it did with Bethany.

Teaching Chess and Life
When I read Teaching chess and life I thought about the world we live in today. I feel like this can relate to whats going on in are neighborhoods. People not doing the right thing and making bad decisions. I feel more people should get like the kid in this story. I feel this kid learned alot from what he/she saw growing up. Having a hobby is a great way to stay busy and not in a bad way.I have a hobby to help me stay out of trouble too. My hobby is jumpping rope. This story should let people know just beacuse you live around negative things you dont have to be negative.
